Research Agronomist Lead
The incumbent will coordinate and lead a team of researchers in conducting on-farm breeding research, overseeing the agronomic management of pulse breeding trials. They will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing yield trials, disease nurseries, and seed production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct rigorous field-based research and develop scientific outcomes through the initiation, management, and reporting of projects.
* Utilize extensive knowledge of Queensland pulse farming systems to drive profitability, productivity, and sustainability.
* Develop, manage, evaluate, and report the impacts of a strategic research portfolio.
* Communicate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and work independently to supervise other staff members.
