We are looking for a medical receptionist to join our busy general ophthalmology practice. This position requires the applicant to be flexible with availability and to be available between 7.15am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with an average roster of 35-45 hours per fortnight. This position will also cover sick leave, annual leave and long service leave for existing staff.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who is highly organised, friendly and skilled in front office procedures and relishes working in a fast paced work environment. We will provide training, although any previous experience in a medical reception role would be highly desirable. Duties will include answering telephones, booking appointments, medical typing, liaising with patients and their families, billing and general office duties.
