Our client is a highly regarded civil contractor known for successfully delivering technically challenging infrastructure projects across Australia. With a strong portfolio of projects nationwide, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to Senior Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of a major bridge construction project in Western Australia, involving the construction of a dual span, 70m bridge.
The Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of structural civil works, with a primary focus on bridge construction. Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you'll ensure that project milestones are achieved to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across the delivery of a dual span, 70m bridge structure.
Responsibilities
* Support end-to-end project delivery, including planning, procurement, and execution phases.
* Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and Australian standards.
* Oversee structural and civil construction activities on-site, including concrete works and bridge construction.
* Manage project documentation including ITPs, RFIs, quality checklists, and progress reporting.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams to meet project objectives.
* Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, environmental policies, and contractual obligations.
* Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with design and construction teams.
* Liaise with stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and local authorities.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in structural civil construction.
* Demonstrated experience in bridge, concrete, or major transport infrastructure projects.
* Sound knowledge of Australian engineering standards and codes.
* Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work on a 6-month 2-1 FIFO roster, with the opportunity to transition to alternate projects upon completion of the bridge works.
