A local family-owned award-winning company operating for over 35 years, The Distributors Mt Gambier takes pride in providing excellent customer service to our existing and ever-expanding client base. We offer an extensive range of food and beverage products, including paper products, cleaning solutions, catering equipment and BBQ essentials throughout The Limestone Coast & Southeast of Western Victoria.
Based in Mount Gambier, this position will ideally suit a person with exceptional customer service who is organized, uses initiative with the ability to work well under pressure and to specific deadlines.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Prepare and process EFT, cash & cheque banking
* Perform daily reconciliation of bank statement and cash till balances
* Review and process Customer account applications
* Maintain Customer data files
* Debt collection
* Review, investigate and process Customer credits/returns
* Reconcile Petty Cash
* Perform month-end debtor closing procedures, including reconciliation and reporting
* Customer service – face-to-face and over-the-phone processing of customer orders
Requirements:
* Extensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes and General Ledger coding
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
* Confident and outgoing personality, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
* Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and understand other areas of the business
* Have a positive and professional work ethic, working independently and within a team
