We are now seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing construction team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist engineers and site managers with design development, planning, and coordination for residential and commercial building projects.
Prepare sketches, drawings, and technical documentation for site layouts, foundations, retaining walls, drainage, and structural connections.
Conduct site inspections and materials testing for concrete, steel, and soil to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Monitor and record construction progress, collecting data on site conditions, quantities, and work completed for reporting and project tracking.
Assist with cost estimation and materials scheduling, ensuring efficient use of labour and resources.
Provide technical support to supervisors and tradespeople to resolve on-site engineering and structural issues.
Liaise with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate design and construction activities.
Support WHS compliance and ensure that all work meets regulatory and contractual requirements.
Participate in maintenance and rectification planning for completed projects, including defect inspections and repair coordination.
Qualifications and Skills
Higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in civil or structural construction.
Working knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and testing procedures.
Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction documentation tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
