Job Role: Procurement Team Lead
About the Job:
This is a strategic leadership role that involves leading procurement initiatives, team development and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and process re-engineering within the department.
The ideal candidate will have excellent team management skills, a proactive approach to continuous improvement and a strong background in developing and implementing KPIs.
Responsibilities:
* Lead by Example: Demonstrate exemplary safety practices, behavior, commitment and attitude.
* Team Development: Participate in the development and implementation of functional team KPIs.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead process re-engineering and SOP implementation within the department.
* Mentorship: Mentor, guide and support the Procurement Team in their daily activities and professional development.
* Order Verification: Verify and validate purchase orders in line with the business delegation of authority matrix.
* Order Management: Lead supplier order management, including expediting/rescheduling, tracking DIFOT performance and conducting supplier audits.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
* Strong background in developing and implementing KPIs.
* Experience with driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ability to re-engineer processes and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Strong skills in verifying and validating purchase orders.
* Proficient in supplier management, including expediting/rescheduling, managing DIFOT performance and conducting audits.
