Gallery operates as a dedicated platform for collectable design and contemporary art, featuring artists such as Ben Mazey and Jenny Nordberg. Based in Melbourne with a Sydney gallery opening soon, we collaborate with interior designers, architects, cultural institutions, and collectors who share our commitment to exceptional design and artistry. CRITERIA Collection focuses on museum-quality pieces from leading international studios, while C. Gallery fosters dialogue between design and art, creating space for cultural exchange and discovery.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a senior, autonomous and collaborative Gallery & Client Manager to help establish and lead our new Sydney showroom. This is a hybrid role combining showroom operations, client relationship management, and business development.
You will be an integral member of our collaborative team, working closely with Melbourne headquarters while taking operational responsibility for the Sydney location and growing our Sydney market. This role offers the opportunity to shape our Sydney presence from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Showroom Operations & Management
* Oversee showroom presentation and daily operations
* Manage casual employee schedules and any additional service providers
Client Management & Business Development
* Manage and develop an established portfolio of Sydney-based clients
* Build and maintain relationships with Sydney-based architects, interior designers, and specifiers
* Provide exceptional client hospitality and showroom appointment experiences
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Sydney market
* Focus on growing the retail/end‐consumer market segment
* Maintain detailed sales reporting and CRM records
Marketing & Brand Development
* Contribute insights and feedback for marketing initiatives
* Provide brand feedback from the Sydney market perspective
* Participate in local art fairs, design exhibitions, and industry activations
Reporting & Administration
* Provide regular sales reports and business updates to the Managing Director
* Maintain accurate CRM data and client records
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in luxury retail, design, art, or related premium brand environment
* Proven track record in client relationship management and business development
* Experience managing staff and external service providers
* Strong understanding of the architecture and interior design industry
* Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and design professionals
Technical Skills
* Proficiency in CRM systems and database management
