Job Title: Asset Manager – Renewable Energy
Location: Sydney (site travel required on occasions)
Performance bonus around 8%
3 days in office, 2 days at home
Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Asset Manager to oversee the performance and operation of a portfolio of renewable energy assets. This role sits within a growing energy platform and is responsible for ensuring assets are operating efficiently, safely, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
You will act as the key interface between site teams, service providers, and internal stakeholders, using data-driven insights to optimise performance, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the operational performance of a portfolio of renewable energy assets
* Act as the primary link between on-site teams and corporate functions
* Maximise asset output while proactively identifying and mitigating risks
* Analyse operational data (including SCADA) to support performance optimisationDevelop and manage operational budgets (OPEX)
* Assess maintenance reports and collaborate with service providers
* Interpret and manage contracts with operations and maintenance providers
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Maintain strong safety performance and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
* Stakeholder & Contract Performance: Deliver accurate and timely reporting while ensuring contractual obligations are met
* Financial Performance: Operate within budget and identify opportunities for cost optimisation
* Operational Performance: Maximise asset availability and minimise downtime
* Maintenance & Reliability: Ensure effective execution of maintenance plans and continuous improvement of asset performance
Skills & Experience Required
* 3–5+ years' experience in asset management, operations, or a related field
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, energy, or a relevant discipline (preferred)
* Experience within renewable energy (wind experience advantageous), infrastructure, or similar asset-heavy industries
* Strong understanding of operations and maintenance practices
* Experience working with operational data and performance analytics (SCADA exposure advantageous)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
