The Role
Join our Fremantle team as our new EDP Officer and play an important part in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of our national container movement data. In this role, you'll help keep our equipment tracking information up‑to‑date across MSC systems, proactively review data received electronically and manually and work closely with internal stakeholders to support smooth operational outcomes.
This part-time job share is worked over 5 days per fortnight, with some full‑time weeks when your job‑share partner is away - ideal if you enjoy variety and a role that fits around your life.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Accurately downloading and entering container data into our tracking platforms
* Manually entering information that isn't received electronically
* Maintaining clear and accurate daily data records
* Taking an inquisitive approach - asking questions, challenging unclear information and seeking clarity to ensure data is complete, accurate and aligned with operational needs
* Communicating with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies promptly
* Preparing reports and contributing to process accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven ability to accurately process high‑volume data while maintaining strong attention to detail
* Excellent prioritisation, multitasking and time‑management skills
* Inquisitive and proactive mindset, with the confidence to ask the right questions, seek clarity and resolve issues efficiently
* Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
* Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills
* Confident working with numbers, systems, basic troubleshooting and Microsoft Office applications
* Experience in container shipping or logistics highly desirable, but not essential
