Job Role
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for maximising the value and safe recovery of the asset, providing sustainable growth in alignment with the business strategy.
* Monthly/Quarterly production and development mining activities scheduling.
* Closely collaborating with geological, geotechnical and operational members to develop optimised, safe and practical mine designs and sequences.
* Communicating plans and schedules through presentation, physical summaries and design shape outputs.
* Driving alignment and tracking compliance to plans with short-term scheduling teams.
* Assisting long-term planning engineers with LOM planning projects and feasibility assessments.
Required skills and qualifications include relevant tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering or similar, 3+ years' experience in underground mining engineering, and expertise with Deswik software package.
Key attributes include being a critical link between engineering/planning and geology, challenging and analysing geological assumptions and interpretation to achieve improved outcomes.
A highly professional individual is required, along with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
