Our client, a global FMCG organisation, is seeking a Senior Statutory Accountant to join their team on a contractual basis. This role sits within a high-performing finance function and supports statutory, compliance and corporate reporting across multiple Australian entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead preparation of statutory accounts and associated disclosures for multiple entities
* Manage interactions with external auditors and offshore shared services teams
* Support annual disclosure statements and provide financial information to internal legal and corporate teams
* Prepare IFRS adjustments, including leasing, stock options and other technical areas
* Partner with sustainability and supply chain teams to support climate and ESG reporting
* Drive continuous improvement, automation and the use of financial statement preparation tools
* Contribute to best-practice documentation, governance and process enhancement
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, tax, IT and operations
About You
* CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent), with previous experience in statutory reporting
* Background in audit alongside experience within complex, multinational or multi-entity environments
* Strong technical grounding in IFRS, tax effect accounting and statutory compliance
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work across global teams
* Strong stakeholder engagement with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
* Comfortable managing deadlines, driving automation and improving processes
