An established WA commercial contractor with a strong pipeline of build and fit-out projects is expanding its Perth team. With multiple projects secured and a reputation for delivering quality outcomes, an opportunity now exists for a driven and capable Contract Administrator to join a high-performing environment.
This is not a back-office role. You'll be embedded in project delivery, working alongside experienced Project Managers and leadership who value commercial rigour and proactive thinking.
The Role
You will play a critical role in the commercial and contractual management of commercial construction projects, ensuring financial control, compliance, and strong stakeholder relationships from procurement through to final accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing all commercial and contractual matters across build and fit-out projects
* Administer client and subcontractor variations
* Assess and process progress claims and invoicing
* Prepare, negotiate and let subcontract packages
* Prepare purchase orders and manage procurement documentation
* Administer RFIs, document control systems and registers
* Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
* Support project teams in final accounts and project closeout
* Attend and contribute to project meetings
* Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to protect margin and manage risk
You will be trusted to take ownership of your responsibilities while supported by an experienced leadership team.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 3+ years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial build/fit-out
* Strong understanding of WA commercial construction contracts, building standards and legal implications
* Experience with contractual management software systems
* High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness
* Confident written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related discipline
