JOB DESCRIPTION
A Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall operation, leadership, and financial performance of the restaurant. You will also be responsible for developing the management team and crew, ensuring smooth operations, and driving business results.
A Shift Leader supports the Restaurant Manager by supervising daily shift operations, guiding team members, and ensuring brand standards are consistently met. Shift Leaders play a hands-on role in training, motivating, and supporting staff while maintaining service excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and support daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of employees, providing coaching, training, and development.
- Maintain food, service, and cleanliness standards to meet and exceed brand expectations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and product availability.
- Support rostering, scheduling, and workforce planning to optimise service delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism.
- Assist in executing marketing and promotional initiatives to boost sales.
- For Managers: take accountability for financial performance, budget management, and long-term planning.
- For Shift Leaders: take responsibility for shift performance, staff support, and immediate problem-solving.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the fast-food or quick-service restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food safety and health regulations.
- Food Safety and/or Serv Safe certification is desirable.
- Experience in rostering, scheduling, or shift management is highly regarded.
