Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager to play a key role in the delivery of a major residential development located in one of Melbourne's most prominent and tightly held areas. This project is a landmark mixed-use residential development requiring strong coordination across design, sales, commercial and delivery workstreams.
Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Manager will manage core elements of the development lifecycle, supporting feasibility, design development, marketing, sales, procurement, delivery and settlement. The role is hands-on and suited to someone who can manage detail while maintaining a clear understanding of broader commercial and program objectives.
Responsibilities
* Prepare project briefs and coordinate consultant engagement across all disciplines
* Analyse consultant fees and manage Consultant Agreements, invoicing and insurances
* Assist in the development and management of project feasibility, cash flow and cost tracking
* Coordinate marketing strategy, budgets and all project-related sales and marketing collateral
* Conduct market research, prepare sales briefs and support apartment pricing strategies
* Prepare and review Contract of Sale documentation and manage POS updates
* Maintain purchaser records, communications, pricing and car park allocations
* Develop and manage the project program, tracking milestones and progress
* Support tender processes, D&C contract documentation and legal briefings
* Assist with planning, subdivision, approvals and pre-construction activities
* Coordinate purchaser customisations, FF&E documentation and settlement preparation
Requirements
* Degree in Property, Construction, Development or a related discipline
* 2+ years' experience in a Development Manager or similar role
* Experience across feasibility, design, delivery and reporting on residential projects
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage feasibility inputs and reporting
* Exposure to Contracts of Sale, purchaser management and settlements
* Experience working with consultants, capital partners and contractors
* Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across internal teams
* Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
