Your Time to Shine
The Training Support Officer is responsible for providing a first point of contact for potential students and community groups. The incumbent provides vocational and educational counselling, case management and support to current/prospective students and supports Aboriginal students to transition from the Aboriginal Access Centre to mainstream TAFE SA courses.
What You'll Bring
* Proven ability to provide Aboriginal students with advice on vocational training and employment plans.
* Proven experience in working with Aboriginal communities and individuals, including education counselling and the use of intervention strategies and principles
* Knowledge of vocational education and training programs in the Institute and general issues in delivery, including adult learning principles and their application.
What You Need to Know
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
