Role Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Finance Manager with advanced data analytics capabilities for a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu, Nepal. This managerial role offers career progression opportunities with a transparent pathway to the next level Finance leadership role based on performance, leadership effectiveness, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Operations: Supervise regional finance operations with accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and strategic alignment; provide matrix leadership to Regional Finance team members through dotted-line reporting relationships.
- Revenue Optimization & Cost Management: Drive strategic initiatives to accelerate revenue growth through analytical insights and financial modeling; identify, analyze, and implement cost efficiency improvements across all branches and regional offices; establish robust variance analysis processes to track performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and tax obligations; maintain current knowledge of the regulatory landscape and implement procedural updates; coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies; develop and maintain internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Technology & Finance Process Automation: Champion adoption of advanced financial technologies and automation tools; lead digital transformation initiatives within the finance function and implement finance, logistics and procurement processes across branches and regions; implement best-in-class financial processes to enhance operational efficiency; stay current with emerging financial solutions and their applications.
- Data Analytics & Business Intelligence: Leverage advanced data analytics tools to enable data-driven decision making; utilize predictive analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks; transform complex financial data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Team Development & Leadership: Mentor regional finance team members; foster a culture of continuous improvement; lead training to enhance data literacy; build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Professional Certification

- Required: Chartered Accountant (CA) designation or equivalent
- Preferred: MBA or similar advanced degree
- Professional certifications in data analytics, financial modeling, or business intelligence are advantageous

Experience Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in senior financial management roles
- Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and cross-functional initiatives in large, complex organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and advanced Excel/financial modeling; fluency in Nepali (written and spoken)

Industry Expertise

- Telecommunications industry experience preferred – understanding of telecom business models, regulatory environment, and industry metrics
- Knowledge of Nepal financial reporting standards (NFRS) and local regulatory requirements
- Experience with financial compliance frameworks and audit processes
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain finance in tech/telecommunications

Core Competencies

- Strategic thinking with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Project management capabilities for leading cross-functional initiatives
- Fluency in Nepali (written and spoken)

Technical Skills

- ERP systems and financial reporting platforms (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Automation tools and process optimization methodologies
- Advanced data visualization (Power BI) and BI platforms
