Modern Building Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leading Hand Carpenter or Carpenters to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the construction of high-quality residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural plans and technical specifications to guide the building process
- Be on top of all aspects of carpentry and some knowledge of sub trades also
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Collaborate with other trades to coordinate the overall construction schedule
Qualifications
- Experience as a Leading Hand Carpenter or Carpenter, ideally in the residential building industry
- Excellent at reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome complex construction challenges
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead by example
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Valid driver\'s licence and reliable transportation
