Our skilled and committed team of Mental Health professionals provide an innovative range of services for individuals suffering from, or at risk of, serious mental health problems requiring short and long-term treatment and support. Our comprehensive service is offered across the municipalities of Mitchell, Murrindindi, Strathbogie, Greater Shepparton and Moira regions.

Our multidisciplinary professionals are from an array of backgrounds and disciplines and work across a range of settings and services including:

- Adult Mental Health
- Community Mental Health
- Acute Adult Inpatient Unit - Wanyarra
- Aged Persons Mental Health
- Child and Youth Mental Health

**About the role**:
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is part of the Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service. The Program provides mental health services to young people aged 0-18 years of age, along with their carers, supporters and service providers. The CAMHS Clinician is responsible for the provision of mental health care to a defined caseload of children and young people who may be experiencing acute psychological distress and/or complex and severe mental ill health. The clinician will carry out initial mental health assessments and comprehensive developmental mental health assessments, engaging the young person and their carers. The clinician will work in partnership with the young person and carers to develop Recovery Goals. Case Coordination through liaison with external education, health welfare agencies is part of the role, in addition to the provision of relevant evidence based therapeutic interventions.
- Qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Registered Psychiatric Nursing or Psychology
- Registration with AHPRA or Membership of AASW
- Experience in the provision of mental health care to children and young people or a willingness to learn
- Experience and expertise in the provision of assessment, treatment planning and intervention for people with a mental health disorder
- Experience in working collaboratively with healthcare, welfare and education agencies to support people in addressing mental health concerns
- Experience in the provision of mental health crisis assessments, risk assessments, safety planning and crisis management planning
- High level organisational skills.
