AUTO INGRESS PTY LTD is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Brisbane-based manufacturing and technical team.
Auto Ingress Automatic Doors is recognised as a leading supplier of automated door systems in Australia. Our Brisbane factory manufactures and distributes automatic door solutions nationwide through offices across four major states and a network of service agents and distributors.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the design, production and maintenance of automated door systems and related mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Factory Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist engineers with the preparation of documentation related to automatic door systems and mechanical components.
* Support the design and improvement of mechanical assemblies and automated door mechanisms used in manufacturing and installation processes.
* Select appropriate tools, materials and equipment required for fabrication, installation and servicing tasks.
* Assist with the assembly, installation and adjustment of mechanical components, machine parts and control systems used in automated door equipment.
* Estimate material quantities, equipment requirements and assist with production planning.
* Conduct testing and performance checks on mechanical components and automated door systems.
* Collect and analyse operational data to support engineering improvements and prepare technical reports and diagrams.
* Assist in coordinating inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance of production machinery and mechanical systems.
* Ensure all mechanical work complies with relevant technical specifications, safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering field.
* Experience working with mechanical systems, automated equipment or industrial machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support engineering and operational improvements.
* Experience using technical or operational systems such as ERP, reporting tools or maintenance tracking platforms will be highly regarded.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians and operational teams.
Position: Full-time, PermanentLocation: Brisbane, QLDSalary: $70,000 – $77,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
