About the Role
CareSouth is seeking experienced Youth Support Workers toprovide individualised support for a young person living in ourShoalhaven based program. The young people we support come from abackground of trauma and we are looking for people who will workwith their strengths to see them thrive. Could it be you?
The overall responsibilities of a Youth Support worker is topromote a consistent and considered person-centred approach to thedirect care of young people who reside in residential care,ensuring individual needs are met. Support Workers provideemotional support and crisis intervention, maintain a safe andwelcoming home environment, and encourage young people to developtheir social and living skills. Additional duties includeundertaking household and daily general duties, participating inregular team and organisational meetings and training.
You will be a person who can uphold our values, exercisespatience and resilience and exhibits a very nurturing demeanour. Weare looking for individuals who place children first and aremotivated to do what is best for them.
About you
- Qualifications in Community Services, Youth Work,Disabilities or related field (or working towards);
- A current Working with Children Check, NDIS WorkersClearance, First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain);and
- A current Drivers Licence.
