Kitchen Manager – Harajuku Gyoza Broadbeach
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen team at Harajuku Gyoza Broadbeach. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves Japanese-inspired food, and takes pride in building strong kitchen culture and consistent service standards.
About the Role
As Kitchen Manager, you will oversee the daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and team performance are maintained to the highest standard. You will work closely with the venue management team to drive service excellence, staff development, and kitchen profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team
* Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
* Manage stock ordering, stock control, and kitchen costs
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
* Manage kitchen rosters and labour costs
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
* Work collaboratively with front of house management during service
* Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager or Senior Sous Chef
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume venue
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
* Passion for hospitality and team culture
* Experience with Japanese cuisine is highly regarded but not essential
