Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre - Steward
We’re preparing to open the doors to our brand new Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre. An exciting space designed to bring people together through creativity, innovation, and unforgettable experiences. As we gear up for opening day, we’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable casual team members to help us support test events and form the new Stewarding team. Set to open in July 2026 on the Geelong Waterfront, Nyaal Banyul will be Australia’s newest convention and event centre. Operated by the Victorian Convention and Event Trust (VCET), this premier venue features a 1,000-seat theatre and 3,700 square meters of versatile event space, ready to host everything from community gatherings to major conferences and entertainment events.
Located in a vibrant city known for its rich history, stunning waterfront, and thriving arts scene, Nyaal Banyul is a place where everyone is invited to share stories, connect, and celebrate special moments.
What you’re here to do
* Clean and store crockery, cutlery, glassware, cookware, and equipment.
* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas.
* Support kitchen teams by keeping preparation areas organised and hazard‑free.
* Assist in the removal of waste, recycling, and rubbish efficiently.
* Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of event and service areas.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen, event, and operations teams to support smooth service delivery.
