**Purpose**
The primary objective/s of the position are to undertake operational activities associated with preventative and
responsive civil maintenance works.
**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
As a key member of the Maintenance Delivery team, the incumbent will be expected to:
- Work within a small work team undertaking preventative and responsive civil maintenance activities.
- Take personal accountability over safety and contribute to a proactive safety culture within the team.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and complete details required for CHW Works Management
Systems. Including:
o Accurately update work order information in the field, immediately after completing work activity, both
during normal work hours and after hours; or
- If an approved deferrable reason applies, complete phone update via Dispatch Team and complete
full report at the next available opportunity.
- Ensure customer needs are considered during maintenance works and disruption is kept to a minimum.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of works and present an effective liaison between CHW and
its customers.
- Perform all duties in accordance with CHW procedures and practices meeting safety and environmental
requirements.
- Participate and contribute in team discussions to continuously improve maintenance practices.
- Undertake regular audits and inspections of fleet, plant tools, materials and equipment.
- Participate in out-of-office hours roster as required.
- Proactively work to enhance the /customer experience.
- Undertake _higher duties _responsibilities as required.
- Other duties as directed.
**. Authority and Accountability**
- At all times, create, maintain and foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance with the
provisions of the Occupational Health and safety Act, Regulations, and CHW policies and procedures.
- Required to accurately record and complete relevant reports including breakdowns, work performed,
and operational information.
- Accountable for complying with all applicable policies and procedures and work standards

- Able to analyse issues to identify and implement solutions.
- Required to resolve minor process issues in a timely manner. Guidance is available from Senior Civil
Maintenance Officers.
- Judgement is limited to the tasks to be performed and may involve the use of a limited range of tools,
techniques and methods within a specified range of work.

- A demonstrated understanding of the safety risks and relevant controls associated with civil construction
work.

training.
