We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Operator/Machine Programmer to join the production team of along-standing Australian manufacturer supplying high-quality, engineered products to the commercial and industrial sectors. This hands‐on role is essential to the manufacturing process and involves reading blueprints, programming machines, and ensuring that all products meet precise design specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery including drills, grinders, mills, stampers, and benders.
* Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to produce accurate components.
* Plan and schedule machine operations to optimize workflow and efficiency.
* Conduct inspections and measurements to verify product quality and compliance.
* Perform basic troubleshooting and implement routine maintenance on equipment.
* Maintain compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety and environmental standards.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a CNC operator/programmer in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with turret punch and brake press programming/operation.
* Strong understanding of CAD/CAM systems and mechanical drawings.
* Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem‐solving, and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and time management abilities.
* Relevant trade qualification, certificate, or diploma in engineering (or equivalent desirable).
