Dive Team
Petuna is seeking an experienced Diver to join our dive team on a full-time basis. This position is situated at our Aquaculture Farm in Macquarie Harbour at Strahan.
The dive team work on a roster that consists of 6 twelve-hour day shifts and 2 six-hour shifts over 8 days, with 6 full days off each fortnight. If required accommodation will be provided when on shift.
The shift enables drive-in-drive-out; however, locals and applicants willing to relocate are strongly encouraged to apply.
Duties
Reporting to the Dive Team Leader, key duties and responsibilities for the role include:
* Daily dive activities monitoring fish health as a primary focus including mort diving.
* Underwater net checks and repairs dive sweeps and mooring checks.
* Daily record keeping including fish records, cleaning history, dive logs and plans.
* Maintaining all dive areas, dive equipment in a safe and hygienic manner.
Qualifications Required
* ADAS Part 2 Diver (Aquaculture SSBA to 30 metres commercial dive qualification) or Certificate III in Aquaculture Dive (or equivalent dive qualification).
* A current Dive Medical Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
* Commercial diving experience ideally including aquaculture farm exposure, or similar.
* Current Right to work in Australia.
* Demonstrates strong commitment to safety for self and fellow team members.
* Diving Supervisor Certification will be highly regarded.
