Your new role
As the Coordinator Kerbside Services, you will play a pivotal role in leading and improving Council's kerbside operations. This position oversees the full suite of kerbside services, ensuring safe, efficient and customer‑focused delivery across the municipality.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinating kerbside services including garbage, recycling, FOGO, public litter collections, bin deliveries, bin maintenance, public bin infrastructure and at‑call hard waste.
* Leading and supporting one direct report while working closely with the Operations Supervisor and Team Leaders to maintain high service standards.
* Ensuring compliance with service level agreements, safety requirements, legislation and industry standards.
* Overseeing safety practices and embedding a strong safety culture across daily operations.
* Collecting and analysing operational data to support reporting, planning and service improvements.
* Driving service reviews and efficiency initiatives to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
* Managing operational challenges including two collection days, resourcing improvements and reducing annual leave balances.
* Reviewing and adjusting runs and rosters with confidence and evidence‑based decision‑making.
What you'll need to succeed
* Tertiary qualifications in waste, operations, business, management or a related field, with substantial industry experience.
* Proven leadership and supervisory capability, ideally within Local Government or a similar operational environment.
* Strong communication skills with experience preparing reports, procedures, policies and briefings.
* Demonstrated kerbside operations experience and the confidence to implement well‑justified operational changes.
