Senior Advisor Governance
* Grade: Clerk Grade 9/10
* Salary range: $129,464-$142,665 + superannuation and leave loading
* Duration: up to 30 June 2026
* Location: Parramatta or Gosford.
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Advisor Governance to support and strengthen the SafeWork NSW governance environment. This role sits within the Governance and Assurance Directorate is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and delivery of key governance frameworks, processes, and initiatives that ensure effective decision‑making, accountability, and compliance across SafeWork NSW.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining accurate records and governance documentation.
* Preparing papers, briefings, and reports with analysis and recommendations on governance activities for internal and external stakeholders.
* Negotiating and influencing outcomes, managing and responding to complex issues, and developed trust within the team and across the organisation to ensure optimal service delivery.
* Maintaining awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, industry trends, and opportunities to recommend innovative solutions that optimise outcomes and contribute to a best practice governance function.

* Maintaining momentum on long-term projects while responding to time critical daily priorities.
* Being responsive and resilient in a changing environment, with diverse stakeholders and competing demands.
* Delivering timely outcomes in an environment with heavy reliance on input and approval from multiple stakeholders.
