Principal Contract Manager
to join one of Australia's most significant transport infrastructure programs, based in
Brisbane

This role has opened following an internal promotion and sits at the heart of a
large, complex alliance environment
, providing senior commercial leadership across multiple work packages.

The Opportunity:
You'll step into a senior alliance-facing role with
end-to-end commercial accountability
, including:
* Strategic commercial oversight across multiple complex works packages
* Direct responsibility for one major package through to completion
* Leadership of a team of Senior Contracts Managers and Contract Managers
* Management of upstream and downstream contractual risk, change and governance
* Commercial negotiation, contract execution, and claims management
* Senior stakeholder engagement within a collaborative alliance framework
* Ownership of commercial reporting and executive-level forums
This is a
hands-on leadership role,
not purely advisory, suited to someone who can balance commercial discipline with alliance-style collaboration.
What we're looking for:
* 10–15+ years' experience in
contract / commercial management
on major infrastructure projects
* Strong grounding in
lump sum and TOC / alliance-style commercial models
* Proven experience leading
high-performing contract teams
* Confident engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders
* Solid financial acumen and comfort operating at executive level
* Rail or major transport project experience highly regarded
* Legal, commercial, or QS background welcomed
* Experience in
risk-sharing alliance environments
will be highly advantageous.
