What you'll do:
Assist in end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Maintain and enhance HRIS data and systems
Generate reports and provide technical support for HR and employees
Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies
Collaborate with HR, finance, and other teams to streamline processes
Contribute to process improvements and train users on system functionalities
Provide education and support to employees regarding payroll systems and tools
Learn from experienced leaders and be part of succession planning
What you'll bring:
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel (iChris experience highly desirable)
Familiarity with HRIS platforms and data management
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented approach and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
Adaptability and a proactive mindset
Australian work rights are required for this position
Qualifications:
At least 3 years' experience in a payroll environment (early-career candidates with strong tech and Excel skills are encouraged to apply)
Knowledge and understanding of the community services sector is greatly valued
Sound understanding of payroll and financial principles
Knowledge of relevant legislation
Current National Police Clearance (no more than 6 months)
