Administration Officer - Breast Screen - Female Identified. This temporary full-time position (38 hours per week) is based at Waratah and forms part of BreastScreen NSW. Remuneration: $64,046.06 - $66,170.25 per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging. Employment Type: Temporary Full Time 38 hr/wk ending 31 May 2026. About the role
Step into a key front-line role supporting the life-saving work of BreastScreen NSW. Based at Waratah, you will be part of a customer-focused team delivering efficient administrative support for a public health service. You'll assist with scheduling appointments, managing client data, and liaising with clinical staff. You'll work across fixed and mobile screening services, supporting clinics at Waratah, East Maitland, and mobile units travelling across the Hunter New England region.
Responsibilities
* Deliver top-tier customer service in a fast-paced screening environment.
* Provide accurate and timely administrative support to ensure seamless daily operations.
* Work closely with clinicians, radiographers and admin teams across multiple sites.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
* Be part of a professional and supportive team committed to positive outcomes.
Essential criteria
* Female applicant – exemption under Section 31(2)(h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
* Current NSW Driver Licence (NSW eligibility) with ability to undertake various shifts and be available to work at a mobile screening unit as rostered (working on a mobile unit may require staying away from home for up to 6 days).
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong time management and ability to handle changing priorities.
* Confidence working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Admin experience in a clinical or health-related setting (desirable but not essential – training provided).
