The Opportunity:
As a Lifeguard, you will be providing Remote Pools relief during periods where additional staff may be required to operate facilities. You will be responsible to ensure safety of all attending the site, perform water rescues and engage with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient environment for all members and staff.
* Aquatic Supervision: Ensure all users of the aquatic facility are monitored and maintain a high level of safety for all users.
* Risk Management: Implement and oversee risk management strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment in accordance with relevant legislation.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop, engage, and collaborate to improve local relationships while identifying partnerships, programs, and events that may benefit the community and the Y.
* Fostering Inclusiveness: Maintain a clean, welcoming, and open environment for all members of staff and the community.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
* Current NT driver's license.
* Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or higher) and CPR.
* Pool Operations Certificate (desirable)
Mandatory Requirements
YMCA, including its Boards of Directors, are committed to the safety and well-being of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. YMCA requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:
* Valid Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework, which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction and a commitment to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout their engagement with YMCA.
