Black Elk is partnering with a well-established, global accounting and advisory firm to recruit a Mid–Senior Accountant for their Brisbane office.

The Role
You will work within an experienced team servicing a diverse client base, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory work while continuing to build your technical and client-facing capabilities.
This position suits an accountant who enjoys public practice and is looking for long-term progression within a structured and professional environment.
Eligibility
* Australian citizen or permanent resident
* Must be Brisbane-based
* Public practice experience is essential
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
* Preparation of management accounts and BAS/GST
* Managing and supporting a portfolio of clients
* Building strong, professional client relationships
* Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes
* Using modern accounting systems and technology to support efficient workflows
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
About You
You will ideally have:
* 2–3+ years' experience in public practice accounting
* A Bachelor of Accounting or Commerce
* CPA or CA qualification (completed or in progress)
* Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
* Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting platforms
* Clear communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
Highly regarded but not essential:
* SMSF experience
* Exposure to advisory or restructuring work
