Established in 1991,
Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing
culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and
community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli
Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Administration Officer - Clinical Excellence
will provide administrative and operational support to the Chief Medical
Officer and Clinical Excellence team to promote safe and quality patient care
in the delivery of programs and services.This
role will support the Clinical Excellence team to analyse, report and share
clinical health data in line with internal and external governance.
WHAT
YOU WILL DO
* Responsible for the
Release of Information (ROI) process
* Provide the central
point of control for all ROI requests and ensure ROI requests are allocated to
appropriate departments/areas across DDHS.
* Undertake administration
activities to support effective running of the Clinical Excellence team
* Provide secretariat
support to key organisational committees and team meetings
* Act as a super-user with
patient information and recall management system (Communicare)
SELECTIONCRITERIA
Essential
* Previous experience in a medical records / administration role within a health care setting
dealing with confidential records.
* High level of administrative skills and experience in administrative procedures for management
of documents and maintenance of records.
* The ability to produce detailed and accurate records and reporting.
* Ability to work
independently with strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to
plan, manage and prioritise tasks and to deliver outcomes within tight
timelines.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with
diverse stakeholders across a range of
cultures and professions.
Desirable
* Qualification
or working
towards qualification in Health Administration/quality auditing or other
relevant qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in conducting clinical audits.

EMPLOYMENT IS SUBJECT TO
* Willing to undergo a Police Check.
* Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children
Clearance (Ochre Card).
* Current driver's licence.
* Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6
months of commencement.
* Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on
the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
