About The Role
As Stock Control/Purchasing Officer, you'll be the eyes and ears of our client's inventory operation. Reporting to theSite Manager, you'll monitor daily stock levels, flag potential shortages, and help keep production and distribution running without a hitch.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain Accurate Records: Run, review and update daily stock-receivals, site-shortage and negative-stock reports.
* Cycle & Comparative Counts: Perform regular cycle counts and comparative stock checks to ensure on-hand quantities match the system.
* Order Processing: Enter purchase-order receipts and daily credits; follow through on NetSuite enquiries as needed.
* Low-Code Monitoring: Track and action daily and weekly low-code reports to prevent out-of-stock situations.
* Yield & Replenishment Reporting: Generate the daily yield report and advise the team of any yield variances.
* Cross-Functional Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with sales, production teams and suppliers to resolve inventory issues quickly.
* Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Ensure all stock-control processes align with company policies, HACCP principles and relevant legislation; suggest improvements where you see opportunity.
About You
* You've spent at least 3 years in a stock-control or inventory-replenishment role—ideally in FMCG or perishables.
* You understand the end-to-end supply-chain challenges of fresh-food production and can anticipate pinch points.
* You're highly detail-oriented, with strong numerical and reporting skills.
* Intermediate user in Microsfoft Excel and/or Net Suite
* You communicate clearly and build rapport easily—whether you're chasing a late delivery or coaching a team member through a count.
* You're a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves to keep stock moving.
