As an Aboriginal Child Protection Caseworker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families in the Far West region.
Key Responsibilities
* Work sensitively with parents, family members, children or young people to ensure their safety and well-being.
* Collaborate with other agencies to address complex problems and develop effective solutions.
* Formulate goals that align with clients' needs, addressing safety and well-being concerns through home visits and providing appropriate assistance.
* Develop safety plans and conduct risk assessments to protect children from harm.
* Manage high-needs and high-risk cases, working closely with clients and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
* Participate in court processes, preparing court documents and attending hearings as required.
Requirements
* A relevant diploma or degree qualification is preferred; applicants without a relevant qualification must have at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children and young people.
* The ability to build positive relationships, supported by excellent communication skills and a valid driver's licence.
* A paid working with children clearance number and documented verification of Aboriginality are also required.
