The Networks Managed Services team is a dynamic and collaborative environment that values excellence and partnership with our customers. We are seeking an Associate Network Engineer to join our team, working on client accounts in an agile secure environment to provide security and network solutions that meet or exceed industry standards.
This is a full-time permanent position based in one of our Australian offices, with the possibility of working on-call shifts, including evenings and after hours, as agreed with the customer. The successful candidate must be a citizen of Australia, as they will be required to apply for special security clearances.
As an Associate Network Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled network engineering team, responsible for:
* Providing 24/7 Networking technical support to the Network Management Centre clients;
* Monitoring network availability and performance, focusing on outage detection, analysis, resolution and reporting;
* Assisting on customer projects such as circuit changes, site moves and rolling out IOS upgrades using automated tools;
* Conducting testing, implementation, monitoring and tuning networking software / hardware to ensure optimum systems performance and highlight potential issues;
Key requirements for this role include:
* 2+ years of experience working in a professional services environment;
* Developing knowledge of Networking and Firewalling covering Datacentres, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs);
* Understanding the concepts of networking and the security associated with networking;
* Analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
