About this Position:
* This role supports the APAC insurance business and acts as a member of the APAC actuarial team to achieve goals and deliver on strategic initiatives.
* Key responsibilities include coordinating quarterly management reporting requirements, assisting in strategic portfolio reviews, and preparing local regulatory reports for Australia and New Zealand offices.
* Additionally, this position involves reviewing capital projections, investment strategies, and providing support to budget loss ratio exercises and annual financial planning.
About You:
* A minimum of 3 years of General Insurance experience, preferably in reserving for long tail lines.
* Familiarity with actuarial concepts/methodologies and ability to educate non-technical managers on technical areas enhancing their decision-making capabilities.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective project & time management, and strong communication skills are essential.
* The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work as part of a team, and take individual responsibility.
* Prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, and forging relationships with other business areas is crucial.
* A working knowledge of typical actuarial reserving software and professional behavior with high integrity are necessary.
