**About the role**

TAFE NSW has an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with current experience in **Health, Wellbeing and Community Services** to join our team as a temporary Education Support Officer, located within our **TAFE Digital Team** at **Strathfield**. This is a temporary full-time opportunity for up to 12 months.

Your role will be responsible for a range of tasks which directly and indirectly supports the learning process for students from various backgrounds and needs. You will be a part of a dynamic team, helping students to understand their learning materials and concepts whilst creating an innovative and exciting educational environment.

**Note**: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.

**A Day in the Life**

This role helps to support and build relationships with the students in the Health, Wellbeing and Community Services section within the TAFE Digital Team. You are motivated and dedicated to assisting students to achieve their highest potential through:

- Practical Workshops
- Work placement support
- Providing student support in an online learning environment

**To be successful in the role you must have**:

- Certificate III in one or more of the following areas, or above:

- Health Services Assistance
- Health Administration
- Allied Health Assistance
- Community Services
- Mental Health
- Optical Dispensing
- Audiometry
- Medical Practice Assisting
- Sterilisation
- Dental Assisting
- Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used the Health, Wellbeing and Community Services Industry.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to meet all the selection criteria as outlined in the position description.
