Experienced Optical Dispenser/Mechanic - Part Time

Daily responsibilities:
Assists members with eyeglass frame and lens options. Fits and adjusts lenses. Dispenses eyeglasses and contacts. Measures eyes for pupilary distance. Answers questions regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services. Refers to Optometrist when necessary. Processes sales. Organises and fills member prescriptions.
* Purchases special orders from suppliers. Stocks department equipment and merchandise. Follows department procedures and standards.
* Cleans department. Counts register at start of shift. Ensures register cleanliness. Orders cash increases and makes witnessed deposits of excess funds. Count own register at shift end.
* Processes payments and exercises discretion with patient information.
* Follows safety and security procedures. Assists in other departments as needed.
* Provides customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.

Requirements:
* Dispensing experience preferred
* Part Time (minimum 24 hours over 5 days)
* Year 12 education or higher
* Full Availability Monday - Sunday
