**About the Role**
Our Health Promotion team is an innovative and dynamic group passionate about improving health outcomes from pregnancy through to adulthood. We work to prevent and reduce harm from chronic disease risks, obesity, blood borne viruses, sexually transmitted infections, and injury risks across our diverse communities. A critical part of this role is ensuring services are effective and culturally appropriate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, supporting system-level changes that reflect community priorities.
You will also:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion programs and research initiatives.
- Strengthen partnerships with clinical services, community groups, and government agencies.
- Undertake data collection, service evaluation, and reporting to improve service effectiveness.
- Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, clients, and partners through culturally safe practices.
**About you**
- You are a proactive and collaborative professional with a passion for health equity and prevention. You thrive on building relationships across
- sectors, working in diverse communities, and turning evidence into action.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, social science, or PDHPE (postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and ability to support culturally safe service delivery.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring health promotion or disease prevention services.
- Strong ability to handle changing priorities and problem solve
- Strong communication skills to influence behaviours and foster collaboration.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver within deadlines.
