What do we do?
Our team provides growers with technical solutions, products & support to improve the quality of their crops and the productivity of their businesses. We provide climate systems, control systems, water systems and automation and labour-saving products to our customers. We have a strong focus on improving food quality, accessibility, and environmental sustainability.
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the team at our Hallam office. The role is advertised as full time - however we are open to considering 4 days per week applicants.
Role Purpose:
This role reports to our Financial Controller and assists with the company’s financial requirements such as Accounts Payable/Receivable, End of month reporting & reconciliations.
Role Responsibilities:
* Management of Accounts Receivable
* Preparation of Cashflow forecasts
* Preparation of End of Month adjusting journal entries and reconciliations
* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
* Preparation of monthly BAS returns
* Audit Preparation: Prepare reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the external audit team
* Experience dealing with multi-currency transactions
* Maintain and manage company insurance policies, including renewals and documentation
* Update and manage third-party customer portals to ensure accurate and current information
* Maintain a professional profile internally and with Powerplants customers and partners.
* Provide helpful, courteous & professional assistance to the Finance and wider Powerplants team
* Assist wider Finance and Service Admin team as required.
Qualifications we are looking for:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar.
* CPA or CA qualified or currently studying (Desirable)
* Strong Microsoft Office Skills – expert level in Excel
* Experience with MYOB Acumatica - favourable
Your Experience:
* 2-3 years’ experience in accounting, public practice.
* Experience with multinational organisations (Desirable)
* Experience in auditing or public practice favourable
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Strong communication and relationship management skills
Your Technical skills:
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and legislation
* ERP Systems – MYOB Acumatica is beneficial

We offer flexible working arrangements once we are confident in your abilities.
The role will be office based for the first 6 months - we can then discuss work from home options for up to 1 - 2 days per week.
