Business Development Specialist - Attachments at Bendigo Advertiser. Schlam Payload is the global expert in load and haul attachments, designing and manufacturing mining truck bodies and buckets with a focus on innovation, engineering excellence and quality. This role is about shaping the future of mining performance through strategic business development for attachments, working with major mining operators and embedding Schlam as the industry standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Strategic Growth: Own national sales targets, craft business development strategies that disrupt the market, and deliver on them. Aim beyond budget to set the pace.
- Client Ownership: Maintain and grow relationships with major mining clients, becoming their go-to for attachments advice and next-generation gear.
- Expert Positioning: Develop deep knowledge of buckets, trays and haulage systems and translate technical mastery into competitive advantage.
- Collaboration: Partner with account managers, engineers and product teams to align market demand with Schlam’s offerings. Each meeting or site visit should move the business forward.
About You
- You are ambitious, confident and results-driven, with experience in mining, capital equipment or mobile equipment manufacturing.
- Industry Credibility: Track record of working with major mining equipment and translating challenges into effective solutions.
- Sales Capability: Proven ability to identify opportunities, close high-value deals and negotiate with senior decision-makers (deals worth millions).
- Commercial Insight: Strong understanding of cost analysis, market trends and ROI positioning.
- Influence & Presence: Comfortable leading high-stakes presentations in corporate settings and at mine sites; adaptable and able to command respect.
