**Job Role:** Aboriginal Participation Officer
The role is to assist the Advocate in coordinating, engaging, and developing participation activities for children and young people. The position will implement projects that improve service delivery or operations and contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups, and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design, implementation, and coordination of projects that deliver effective outcomes in line with the governing Act.
* Assist with research and analysis to support the development of key projects and the improvement of processes across ACYP.
* Assist with particular aspects of projects and implementations, including developing and monitoring project plans, participation and engagement activities, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful project milestones are met.
* Prepare a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders, in particular Members of the Youth Advisory Council, as required, including status updates, reports, budgets, and discussion papers to manage the flow of information.
* Deliver on assigned projects and processes within agreed-upon deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
