Job Description
The role of Quality Manager is a pivotal position in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents. This position plays a crucial role in driving continuous improvement and clinical governance across our aged care homes.
This individual will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating quality systems to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. They will also lead set meetings on quality and compliance matters relating to audits and reviews each month.
Additionally, this person will assist with organizational policies and protocols ensuring compliance within relevant legislation. They will support the Facility Manager and multidisciplinary team to identify and analyze data on identified indicators and areas of risk.
Where gaps are identified, they will create innovative solutions in collaboration with site management and extended quality teams to facilitate mitigation strategies.
They will also provide advice and support to Residential Aged Care staff around Aged Care Quality Standards requirements, work alongside the teams assisting in the resident assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating quality systems to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
* Establishing and monitoring quality procedures to meet all regulatory requirements
* Leading set meetings on quality and compliance matters relating to audits and reviews each month
* Assisting with organizational policies and protocols ensuring compliance within relevant legislation
* Supporting the Facility Manager and multidisciplinary team to identify and analyze data on identified indicators and areas of risk
* Creating innovative solutions in collaboration with site management and extended quality teams to facilitate mitigation strategies
* Providing advice and support to Residential Aged Care staff around Aged Care Quality Standards requirements
Requirements
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Knowledge of relevant legislation including the new Aged Care Act 2024, Governing for Reform in Aged Care and the Support at Home program
* Minimum of two years in the Aged Care sector, preferably in a clinical governance or regulatory compliance role
* Highly developed interpersonal skills to be able to establish cooperative working relationships with Facility Managers, Clinical Care Managers, and the broader team
* A current, full driver's license for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven and comply with any restrictions on their license
* It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role
