Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager
Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to lead their sales efforts in Canberra. They are at the forefront of Avionics, ISR, RADAR and Optics, with capabilities widely used in commercial and defence systems and platforms worldwide.
* Drive sales and manage customer relationships across various markets, including government agencies, defence and potentially offshore clients and commercial entities.
To be successful, you will have experience in planning and forecasting sales and opportunities, executing sales plans, maximising the portfolio of existing clients, and reporting directly into the Head of Sales. You will also have a strong network in Defence Aerospace, thrive in developing existing markets as well as targeting new markets, and possess excellent relationship building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and win new business
* Execute sales plans
* Maximise the portfolio of existing clients
* Report Directly into the Head of Sales
* Have a traceable sales record
* Appreciate different markets; Commercial, Government Agencies
* Develop and implement business strategies
* Target new markets and maintain market share.
* Help shape tenders and bids
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
Requirements:
* Qualifications in Engineering would be desirable.
* A proven background in business development with Account Management experience
* A strong network in Defence Aerospace
* Thrive in developing existing markets as well as targeting new markets.
* Passionate about winning and developing new business.
* The ability to speak to senior decision makers with confidence
* New business focused
* Excellent Relationship building skills.
* Must hold or be able to attain and maintain an AGSVA clearance
