They are seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer with experience in water or wastewater.
Your New Role
As the Commissioning Engineer, you will:
* Lead the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems for major water infrastructure projects, overseeing all stages from pre-commissioning to process commissioning.
* Prepare, manage, and maintain commissioning documentation, including O&Ms, ITPs, ITCs, SOPs, and other required materials.
* Coordinate safety and design reviews (HAZOP, CHAZOP, CHAIR), provide technical input, and ensure adherence to commissioning SWMS and safety protocols.
* Supervise installation and construction activities, identify defects, and ensure timely rectification while verifying instrumentation, SCADA integration, VSD configuration, alarms, and system performance.
* Develop and execute cutover and seeding plans, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure seamless system integration, optimal performance, and smooth handover to operations.
* Provide training and operational support to staff to ensure safe and efficient operation of commissioned assets.
About You
You’re a confident Commissioning Engineer with proven experience in water or wastewater commissioning. You can independently manage complex commissioning tasks while coordinating with construction and operations teams.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Hands-on experience commissioning water or wastewater infrastructure assets, including mechanical and electrical systems, SCADA, instrumentation, alarms, and process interlocks.
* Proven ability to generate, manage, and maintain commissioning documentation such as O&Ms, ITCs, ITPs, and SOPs.
* Strong problem-solving skills to resolve commissioning challenges, ensuring seamless system integration and compliance with Sydney Water requirements and safety standards.
* Collaborative mindset with experience training and supporting operations teams during asset handover.
* Commitment to long-term engagement and growth within a stable project and business environment.
