We are seeking experienced, highly motivated Field Service Fitters to support operations across the Rockhampton area, ensuring reliability and performance. These are permanent positions with either a Monday‐Friday (38 hours) roster or a day‐7/7 roster – whatever suits your circumstances best.
Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance, repairs and reconditioning work on all CAT machinery and engines.
* Ensure repairs are carried out following appropriate control guidelines to prevent rework.
* Assess the reusability of all disassembled parts.
* Submit accurate service reports, timecards, parts request sheets and parts quotes.
* Support the sale of genuine parts and provide guidance and advice to customers when required.
Qualifications
* Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent diesel fitter trade.
* Caterpillar product knowledge – experience working on CAT machinery, systems and diagnostic tooling.
* Strong troubleshooting skills – ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults independently.
* Customer‐focused mindset – confident in building relationships, managing expectations and providing clear updates.
* Safety‐first approach – committed to maintaining high WHS standards at all times.
* Valid driver's licence – required to travel between customer sites across the Rockhampton region.
