Your new role
* Full time or part-time, Fixed term 7 months (parental leave cover) located in Deakin, ACT
* Annual Salary between $110,110.00 to $116,432.57, plus Superannuation, NFP Salary Packaging, Paid Christmas closure and other generous leave provisions under our Enterprise Agreement.
As part of the Contracts and Finance Team and broader Senior Leadership Team within RACR, the Finance Operations Lead is responsible for undertaking a range of financial functions and overseeing the financial operations of the organisation.
Duties
In consultation with the Contracts and Finance Manager and the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Operations Lead will:
· Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to strategic and business planning, policy development, workforce planning processes and develop and align program goals and performance outcomes
· Prepare budgets, including costings for tenders and other proposals as required
· Prepare the monthly and annual report and financial reporting to funders
· Monitor compliance with financial controls in response to payroll, purchasing, general ledger, and oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
· Work with the Contracts and Business Development Lead to support key contract management processes, working collaboratively with leadership and service delivery teams to ensure RACR meets contractual and legislative requirements as required.
What you’ll need to succeed
1. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and/or working towards CPA or CA registration.
2. Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including supervising staff, strategic planning, budgeting, analysis, reporting, payroll, cash flow management, investments, risk management and outsourced suppliers.
3. Demonstrated comprehensive experience with accounting and payroll software and advanced level of MS Excel.
4. Strong networking and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships to achieve organisational outcomes.
5. Ability to synthesise information to produce succinct, formatted, on- topic financial reports and analysis.
