About the Opportunity We are seeking a WHSE Advisor to support the delivery of industry‑leading safety frameworks and risk reduction initiatives. This hands‑on role involves coaching and mentoring staff in the effective use of WHSE systems, while providing on‑ground support across all safety programs. A solid understanding of WHSE management systems is essential to ensure successful implementation and alignment with strategic goals.

The WHSE Advisor will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, assurance activities, and workforce engagement through effective consultation and communication. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about safety and committed to fostering a proactive, risk‑aware culture.

Responsibilities

Partner with key stakeholders enabling the development and review of risk assessments, safe operating proceduresand high‑risk activities.

Provide advice and guidance to the business in relation, but not limited to Safety in Design principles, WHSE legislation, Codes of Practice & relevant Standards.

Partner withkey stakeholders to build WHSE capability, implement risk reduction activitiesand continually improve safety.

Ensure compliance with incident reporting requirements and facilitate the incident investigation process.

Develop & maintain relationships with key internal/external stakeholders and the customer.

Support the development, implementation and continual improvement of WHSE management plans, procedures, and training.

Champion a proactive culture of innovation and continual improvement.

Contribute to monitoring and analysing injury/incident trend data and implement/recommend actions to counter trends.

Establish and implement site safety and environmental operational requirements for Construction and production activities.

About you

Relevant tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety management, environmental science, or equivalent.

minimum of 2-4 years of experience.

Proven understanding, interpretation and applicationof WHS/EnvironmentalLegislation and relevant standards.

Proven working knowledge in a Construction, manufacturing or high risk industry.

Demonstrated experience and understanding of incident cause analysis method investigation methodologies (ICAM).

Strong communication skills - written and verbal.

Proven ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders across numerous departments and organisations.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
