**Role Overview**
As a payroll officer in a medium-sized team, you would be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You would work closely with other team members to collect and maintain employee data, calculate salaries and wages, and process tax and other deductions. In addition, you would be responsible for managing payroll-related queries and resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise. As part of a larger team, you would have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development and improvement of payroll processes and procedures.
Responsibilities include
- End-to-end payroll processing including salary packaging, leave management and superannuation, and various taxes.
- Ability to prioritise workload efficiently to meet conflicting demands by utilising your well-developed multitasking skills.
- Interpreting payroll related acts, awards, agreements, EBA's, policies and procedures.
- Support change agenda with ad hoc project responsibilities such as automation of processes and driving a mentality of continuous improvement.
**Skills & Experience**
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience managing medium to large end to end payroll with over 500 employee's
- Recent experience using Preceda
